12 Days, a Midterm and a Breakdown

I have a midterm today.  In less than 45 minutes.  So what am I doing blogging?  I am keeping myself from having a 2nd breakdown today.  That's right, 2nd.  Already had one today; trying to prevent the 2nd one from happening.  So in an effort to keep from having a meltdown in the library as I study for a writing exam (how does one study for a writing exam??), I am posting pictures of things that make me incredibly happy, namely, tomatoes.  Happy Tomatoes, that is.  I have many plans for them.  The plans might happen, they might not.  Everything is blurred, vague and confusing.  But here they are.  Enjoy.

Countdown: 26 days and counting

ACK!!!  I can't believe it -- it's FEBRUARY!!!  In less than 26 days, I will be Mrs. Shu.  NUTS!!!!  Actually, it's more like *#$&%^@(#*@#&^% NUTS!!!  Is this day actually happening???  It feels like its been forever ago that Malcolm and I got engaged, but it's actually been just over 5 months!

The madness of planning has now rendered me ... blank.  I am no longer able to function.  I am reminded by everyone, their dog and their dog's mothers that I only have 3.5 weeks left until my wedding.  Please stop.  Yes, I know I'm getting married soon.  Yes, I know it's in 3.5 weeks.  STOP!!!  I get it, I know, 3.5 weeks.  Got it.

In the next 3.5 weeks, I have to find flats, wrap chocolate, buy gifts, schedule various grooming appointments (mani/pedi, eyebrow waxing, weekly facials, etc.), work out, and study.  And that's just the tip of the iceberg.  A lot of people have told me that they are available to help, and thank you, but really, it's just stuff I need to do.  Thoughts and ideas float around in my head, and it's just faster for me to do it than to write it down, email or call someone and wait to see if they got around to doing it.  I'm horrible at delegating.  I have control issues.  Ask the pumpkins.

As a result of the unbelievable calm that has taken over my brain (calm = blank canvas = no thought process = brain synapses have left the building), I do other things, unrelated to weddings.  Like blogs.  While I was obsessed with wedding blogs for the past 4 months, I am now obsessed with design/fashion blogs.  And food blogs.  And blogs about design and food.  And blogs about food and design.

So while I read a wonderfully engaging textbook about corporations and piercing corporate veils and all that, please peruse through some of the most amazing blogs. Aaaaahhh....relaaaaax.....
